Just wonder is this casting only for the opening night 18 of February or for all the rest dates as well?

Thanks! Do you mean that for the Program 2 on Nov 19 and 21 the casting may be different?

Yes, casting will usually always vary from one night to the next!

    What do the asterisks mean?

Good question, Jessie, they denote a dancer premiere in a given ballet. Thanks!

When will the rest of the casting for Program 2 appear ?
And Program 3 as well ! These programs are already upon us .
I’d like to know who’s scheduled to dance before I select my tickets.
    Many thanks.

When will you post casting for other shows besides Feb 18?

I notice that one of my favorites, Vanessa Zahorian, has been missing from recent performances and casting announcements. I do hope she is not injured…

Why don’t you publish casting for the entire run at the same time?

Casting for Program 2 is not yet posted beyond the opening night tonight. This is later than it used to be when casting was posted directly on the web site. Does anyone know of another way for us to find who will be performing tomorrow?

Why is the casting for the performance tomorrow been kept under wraps?! And the other performances this week as well! I thought, under union rules, the casingt – regardless of whether it’s subject to change- had to be made known two weeks ahead to the dancers. Looking forward to seeing who is dancing!

I don’t care for the new hoops you are putting us thru to find out the casting for various performances. How do I find the blog? Without clicking every sentence before I find it?

How can I find out when Lorena Feijoo will be dancing more than one week out? I have Saturday night tickets and she has not danced much during the last 3 seasons on that night. I would really like to see her in more than a fleeting role. Are there certain performances/dances coming up that she will be in?

    Thanks

    Hi Lauri,

We love Lorena! She’s a great artist, isn’t she? We try our best to post casting one week prior to an opening. That said, it is possible for casting to shift due to potential injuries or artistic changes. Please check this page often as a reference. Thanks!

    Hi Marta,

You’re not alone – we’ve been receiving a lot of similar feedback. Due to technical reasons we changed the way in which we post casting, but we’re reviewing new alternatives and understand this isn’t an appropriate solution. Stay tuned, and thanks for your ongoing support!

Thank you for understanding how much the casting influences the choice of performance for many supporters of SFB. The main reason we come is to watch certain dancers that we love. The production quality is always wonderful, the orchestra superb, and the choreography fresh and interesting. What changes are the dancers in new or repeat roles. I often attend multiple performances to see different dancers or combinations of dancers. This is what creates the excitement and the anticipation. Yes, there is part of the audience that comes regularly on Sat. night or Thurs., etc. I appreciate your sensitivity to the needs of different parts of your loyal audience. Keep up the great work.
