Announcing The Winner Of Our Six-Second Video Contest!

After nearly 60 entries, we’re delighted to announce the winner of our #TheMovementOfEveryDay Vine contest in collaboration with next week’s San Francisco Dance Film Festival!

As selected by guest judge SF Ballet Principal Dancer Damian Smith, the creator of the winning Vine is… Frances Troche (@ohaifrancy)!

Judge Damian says: “I like the thread and consistency of the theme. Congratulations Frances!” She wins two tickets to the Awards Ceremony and Closing Night Party of the SF Dance Film Festival on September 15, where her winning Vine will be screened; two tickets to the opening night of our Nutcracker on December 11; and a copy of Jordan Matter’s photography book Dancers Among Us, a beautiful collection of dance photography.

We loved the enthusiasm of our entrants, many of whom submitted multiple Vines — so much so that we intend to celebrate them with a screening at the Festival too. Here are some of the other contenders!

(We particularly salute @ringmoi’s enthusiasm for submitting 15 Vines!)

Thank you so much to everyone who took part! See you at the Dance Film Festival…

The winner looks very much like Murad Osmann’s work to me: http://instagram.com/muradosmann
