Ballet takes Union Square!

Dance gets everywhere around San Francisco! If you’ve been noticing a variety of striking tutus gracing the windows of  the Union Square shopping neighborhood, you’re not imagining things: this month San Francisco Ballet is showcasing many of the beautiful costumes from our Wardrobe Department for everyone to enjoy on the streets of SF.

The window displays in Union Square’s stores, which are organized every year by the hard-working members of the San Francisco Ballet Auxiliary, are in celebration of our 2013 Gala on Thursday, January 24, 2013.  This annual event launches SF Ballet’s 2013 Repertory Season, with an elegant cocktail reception and dinner at City Hall followed by a rousing one-night-only performance at the Opera House — plus an After Party to remember.

Tickets for our Gala  are selling fast but it’s not too late to join us there. Just visit our website to select the evening package that is right for you — including an After Party-only option with an open bar and the chance to join SF Ballet’s finest on the dancefloor!

If you’ve spotted one of our window displays around Union Square, we’d love to see your pictures. Tweet us at @sfballet, or tag @sfballet on Instagram!
