My profile photo is of me kissing the patch on my Fluminense jersey (it’s my favorite soccer team in Brazil). Wednesday was the 108th anniversary of the team, so I’m wearing it in celebration!
I’ve just come back from Rio, where I was born and raised. Our annual summer layoff gave me lots of time to relax, and enjoy my family and friends. When I was in Brazil, I also had the chance to do a lot of things I’ve never done before—I went to three different islands and also watched lots of soccer: every single game of the World Cup! I also swam and surfed at Ipanema and Copacabana and did a small guest performance. It’s the only dancing I did though, because I really wanted to focus on spending time with my family. It’s been a little challenging to come back from doing less exercise—the only movement I really did in Rio was bringing a fork to my mouth!
Now that I’m back at SFB, I’m getting back in shape for the tour—a lot of us have never been to Copenhagen so we’re excited. After that engagement, I’m looking forward to being in Europe for an extra week and spending time with some friends—some of whom I haven’t seen in five years.
